Project Brief
Award-winning performers Undercover Artists required a new website design which would showcase their awesome and unique talents not just to prospective wedding planners, but also to major corporate clientele.
Concept
Initial discussions were along the lines 'I was thinking monochrome to keep it really classy. I still need to have a promo shoot' and like every one of our working relationships, so began the process of design to deliver, listening to the client, understanding their vision.
This kind of dialogue at the beginning of any project is invaluable, but having a client whose imagination for their website is so open and amenable, makes our job effortless.
Branding
Brand Guidelines
By the time most new clients come to us for website design, sadly, they may already have a logo design in place. The Undercover Artists logo was designed by Craig Glover a classic, contemporary logo incorporating the font Mensch designed by Morgan Knutson.

Web Design
When starting a new project, some of the early questions will be, do you have a logo, do you have copy, do you have images?
So when a client like Libby sends us the photos for her website. Well, it makes our life far too easy. When we see them for the first time, it enthuses us, all we want is to deliver a design which do the images and Libby's inspiration justice. Such an understanding client, designer relationship is priceless.
Mobile Responsive Design
The desktop version of this website design uses some super slick transitions for displaying the content. With not all being appropriate for smaller screens, we had to create a whole load of media queries for the mobile site to be as equally impressive.
Website Performance
We ran through our usual checklist once the website had been developed, optimising both the code and images, along with a whole plethora of techniques to ensure the site loads quickly and is Google friendly.
Final Thoughts
We're so lucky to have clients like Libby. As challenging and demanding as some of these website designs are, we get SO MUCH pleasure working on them, especially when the client is as happy with the results.
